Archetype is an intense First-Person-Shooter (FPS) multi-player game that is supported by wifi, 3G & even EDGE signal (though I would not recommend playing this game with an EDGE signal). After you have started the app & registered your game tag you’ll be all set to go. In the game you’ll find yourself on either the blue or orange team, there can be up to 5 players on each team & the aim of the game is to kill as many of your opposition as possible (don’t worry if you get killed as you get to re-spawn each time). The battles have a time limit & the team with the most kills will come out as the winners. A truly great & intensive game that will have you hooked for many hours.

There comes a time when we all need to wind down & act a little more childish than usual and with the Crazy Teeth app we can all do this! Choose from a variety of different themed teeth, including vampire, werewolf, decaying, horse, smoker and hillbilly as just a few examples. This is one of those silly-but-funny apps that has a time & place for where it should be used, while the more gory teeth sets would not be the most suitable to show young children, this app is suitable for most age ranges & probably best in use with family and friends.

As a big fan of Flick Kick Field Goal, I was delighted to hear about the release of this app. As with the Field Goal app, you don’t necessarily need to be a keen sports fan in order to enjoy it. The app itself is very addictive, there are two game modes: arcade and time attack along with practice mode. Using a flick-like motion with your finger, you’ll be scoring excellent looking goals in no time at all. You can also use a curve-like motion in your flick to execute some swerve on the balls motion. As you progress through the game you’ll have to sharpen up on your accuracy as the angles & obstacles (goalkeeper & defenders) increase. I would recommend this app to almost anyone as it is fun & very easy on the controls – extremely addictive also!

There are 15 different dinosaurs for you to hunt down in 5 different environments (including muddy marshes, pine forests & rolling hills). There are 2 game modes for you to choose from – survival or hunting, hunting mode being the more general roaming & hunting down, but with survival mode it’ll be those over-sized reptiles that want to hunt (and eat!) you. Overall this game is an exciting alternative to previous hunting apps, with a good selection of weapons to choose from, you’ll be loving this great looking 3D experience.

Iron Man 2 has arrived on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. The game itself has a lot to offer, battle your way through the enemy whether it be on foot, hovering or flying. There are 9 locations that your battles will be based, these range from all over the globe, from New York to Somalia. Packed full of great features, this game has a lot to offer in regards to great general game-play. The controls are very easy to adapt to, especially the virtual touch-pad. Also not forgetting the excellent 3D graphics that flow perfectly throughout the game.

Getting with the 2010 World Cup theme, EA have released 2010 FIFA World Cup on the iPod Touch and iPhone. For those of you who have experienced and enjoyed FIFA 10, this app will certainly appeal to you. You have the choice of 105 different international soccer teams to choose from with all 10 official stadiums (throughout South Africa) featured. This game is generally enjoyable and easy enough to adapt to using the virtual touch-pad. The pass, shoot, slide (tackle) & skill buttons are visibly placed on the right side of your screen, making it easy to perform your desired moves.

The Brothers In Arms series returns with this second instalment of the World War II shooter. Gameloft has yet again produced an amazing all-round game with excellent 3D graphics and addictive game-play. You have the option to challenge friends on a variety of multi-player battle modes via bluetooth or wifi. Another popular in-game feature would have to be the ability to take control of 3 different vehicle types (off-road vehicle, tank and glider).
