Hot pursuit comes to the iPhone & iPod Touch – be prepared for some seriously intensive rubber burning!! This is your chance to be the enforcer as you can take the role of a cop & drive in some pretty cool looking high-speed Police cars (15 altogether). The cop career mode is an achievement-based game mode where you start as a rookie and progress up the ranks as you collect bounty. If that isn’t to your preference you’ll be happy to know that there is a cop versus racer mode where you can compete against your friends & others via a bluetooth or local wifi signal.

Prepare for madness as the Angry Birds return! One of my most treasured Halloween memories is likely to be catapulting these little creatures at various obstacles (as sad as I am!). There are 45 very addictive levels for you to complete, using your skills to defeat those evil green pigs & various pumpkins. This is physics-based demolition at its best, definitely an app for almost everyone to enjoy & spend many hours of humorous addictive fun working through the levels. Originally made for Halloween, this app was updated to the “Seasons” app to allow for the Christmas theme & levels to be added.

This is a game that I have long been waiting for, after the great gaming experience from Gangstar: West Coast Hustle I was very curious to know how Gameloft have advanced forward with this instalment. Without going into too much detail the aim of the game is to find & set-free your younger brother who has been kidnapped by the Armada gang. In all there are 75 missions ranging from general gang/individual elimination to escorting witnesses & car chases. Just as in GTA IV, you can now drive motorbikes, boats & even fly a helicopter! (in addition to the selection of cars available), this alone makes Miami Vindication strides ahead of West Coast Hustle. The Police have a more improved ability & can even call for FBI reinforcements if necessary.

Considering this game  has been developed for the iPhone & iPod Touch, it boasts so much ability in gaming and the visual side is stunning. Gameloft have again stepped things up & set the new standard for handheld GTA clones.

Based on the original Jaws Blockbuster. Your role as Police Chief Martin Brody is certainly not an easy one! You will be required upon to keep the surrounding waters of Amity Island safe from the deadly shark that lurks beneath. Rescuing the swimmers from the deadly Jaws is fun but very intense, this can be done by touching, flicking & dragging the swimmers out of harms reach – whether it be onto nearby beaches or boats. There are ten challenging & addictive levels for you to progress through. The excellent intensity of the game-play make this app a worthwhile buy for any non-serious/serious gamer.

Capcom have cleverly combined great looking 3D graphics with classic 2D platform style game-play, making this second installment of Gold Knights a great all-round gaming experience. Your mission once again will be to battle against the evil minions of the Ghoul Realm, you can either play the role of Arthur or Perceval (a new addition to this installment). Noteworthy features include the ability to post your updated progress on Twitter & the app also offers some in-app purchases to enhance your game-play. A great app for keen gamers of all ages.

For all you guys out there who are struggling to find “Mrs Right”, fear not! – you can now have a virtual girlfriend right in the palm of your hand! I have a “friend” who has tested this app out & they said it was very humorous and entertaining. There are hundreds of virtual girls available, each with a unique personality, outfits and lingerie (!). The aim of this app is to progress through the levels with the aim of falling in love (lets hope that’s not really your motivation for using this app), you’ll be able to interact with your virtual girlfriend using touch, talk, gestures, actions & gifts. Great light-hearted entertainment that will give you lots of fun & laughter – but don’t take it too seriously ;o)

Keeping in theme with the beginning of the football season, Gameloft has released NFL 2011. The app has been officially licensed by the NFL & contains all 32 NFL teams and over 2000  players. The graphics look great & take advantage of motion capture technology, enabling you to experience the detailed player animations of tackling, running etc. The enhanced game-play allows you accelerate with the ball via tilting your device. A great improvement on the previous version (NFL 2010) with many great game-playing options and features.

It was many months ago since I previously experienced the original Hero of Sparta (released back in 2008), it provided me with many fond gaming memories & I have been silently waiting patiently for this second instalment! It was well worth the wait and a big step-up in appearance & game-play from the original. The graphics look stunning and fully take advantage of the iPhone Retina display. There are 12 levels to explore in 8 new environments, the overall game-play has so much to offer and the action intensity is virtually non-stop. Your character will have lots of  interaction with the environment, giving you the ability to climb cliffs, break gates & ruin temples (on top of slaying the evil guys!). A must-buy for both serious & non-serious gamers.

Archetype is an intense First-Person-Shooter (FPS) multi-player game that is supported by wifi, 3G & even EDGE signal (though I would not recommend playing this game with an EDGE signal). After you have started the app & registered your game tag you’ll be all set to go. In the game you’ll find yourself on either the blue or orange team, there can be up to 5 players on each team & the aim of the game is to kill as many of your opposition as possible (don’t worry if you get killed as you get to re-spawn each time). The battles have a time limit & the team with the most kills will come out as the winners. A truly great & intensive game that will have you hooked for many hours.

Over the years business cards have been a great way to either give or receive to your contacts. Unfortunately many of us find we have too many business card contacts & struggle to keep them organised for potential use.
