App Charts

It feels slightly strange posting a review for my own app! While i’m certainly not going to give a biased review, I will make sure that I go through the app’s beneficial features.

The purpose of App Charts is to give you an easy 1 tap access to the latest App Store charts and other features that i’ll mention below. The app lists will be automatically refreshed when the app has started & you can manually refresh these list by swiping down on the screen (similar to the function featured on the Facebook app).

Features include: top paid & free app lists, latest free & paid app releases, top charts for each individual category and a section displaying our latest app reviews. This app is & will always be free, i’m planning on releasing many more updated versions in the coming future. Parkbud

There’s nothing more annoying than being issued with a parking ticket, it really is frustratingly painful to get back to your parking destination & discover that the parking meter has run out with a parking fine stuck visibly on your vehicle. These days may well now be avoided thanks to the Parkbud app! Firstly, with the meter alarm you can set the exact time that your parking meter runs out, this also has a reminder alarm that can be customised to your preferences. The car locator & park finder will help locate nearby places for you to park & will help assist you back vehicle to make things even easier for you! Other features include a camera & photo editor (for adding photos of your parking location etc.) and a handy notepad. The app on a whole is a clever idea that i’m sure many of us will find useful.

iClock Free

This free handy alarm clock app has more to offer than your standard alarm clock, with the ability to display the latest weather details in your location (it automatically detects your location). there are 15 built-in alarm sounds to choose from, if these aren’t to your liking you have the option to choose a track from your iPod play-list. If you are the sort of person who likes a puzzle – there is a puzzle alarm mode in which you have to solve the puzzle to stop the alarm! (I would personally react terribly to this first thing in the morning!).

With there being so many choices when it comes to choosing an appropriate case for your iPhone or iPod Touch, Case Finder is here to make this process easier for you. Whether you are looking for a case for your iPhone 4, 3GS or even your iPod Shuffle – you can browse through different reviews on the app itself & also find the retailers who sell the particular case that you desire. Very simple & easy to use, especially if you’ve been having trouble finding a unique or customized case for your device.

iPocketFan the first real mini-fan

The scenario: it’s a sweltering hot day, there isn’t a fan in sight & your iPhone is the only piece of equipment in sight…. No fear as iPocketFan will save the day?! Maybe not, but this app will certainly be remembered for being unusual. To make this app work your going to need some extra hardware, this can be found here: www.hmb-tec.de/iPhoneApps/iPocketFan.html – the direct link where you’ll be able to purchase the fan plug. Once you’re all set to go, you’ll need to put your fan plug into your devices head-phone jack. Next you need to turn the iPocketfan app on, you’ll see an image of a real fan – there is a slide option located on the fans base (1 being slow & 2 being the fast setting). To get the full effect of your external fan plug, you’ll need to turn your devices volume to maximum.

IWebOffline

This is one of those apps that will certainly appeal to a small percentage of iPhone & iPod Touch users. IWebOffline allows you to view your chosen/favorite websites while offline. To make this possible you’ll have to go to the settings page, enter the website URL in the box and select the depth of the download that you require (level of internal pages). You may find that some sites don’t download as good as others due to the fact that they are probably AJAX or Javascript based and/or contain content that’s not accessible without logging in etc.

Alarm Music Clock

Not just any old alarm clock app – this one is packed full of many more features. The appearance of the Alarm Music Clock comes with the option for you to customise it to your liking, this can be anything from general appearance (color, portrait/landscape, digital/analogue) and other unique options such as auto dim and not to forget the bonus flashlight! So you can let this alarm become your morning wake-up, with a selection of different alarms to choose from – including the music from your device’s library. Also compatible for the iPad.

Joypad – Wireless Game Controller

For Mac users (Mac OSX Leopard/Snow Leopard) – this app allows you to turn your iPhone or iPod Touch into a wireless joypad game controller. Just like the classic joypad back in the day, you can be sure to have more great gaming experiences to add to the memory. Once you have downloaded the Joypad app, you will need to visit getjoypad.com and download the free Joypad connect client for your Mac.

Facebook Video Player

This app has been developed with the correct codec to let you watch your Facebook videos on your iPod Touch or iPhone. Obviously to access this app you will need to have an active Facebook account, you will be required to login to your account on the home screen. Once you are logged in you will have the ability to watch all your Facebook videos, you also have the option to save your most liked videos to the favorites section on this app by selecting your chosen video and adding it to your “favorites” section.
