I’m always looking for shortcuts in my life… when it comes to using my iPhone, I am always looking for the easiest method to get something done – whether it be finding a contact or composing an email etc.. Well here is a great looking favorites list app that can help folk like me save time in style!

You can also save your frequently used device settings to the quick launch list which is a very handy feature. A very useful app that has the ability to save you lots of time.

I use my iPad for a whole lot of things… this could be for work, gaming, social networking etc.. but my favorite experience of iPad usage comes from sitting down with my kids & reading or watching one of many interactive books that come to life on my iPad’s screen – a truly magical experience. it’s me! Believe me, most young kids will love this experience of starring as the main character in this story. To access more features, you will be required to make an in-app purchase. These features include the option to explore an interactive Neverland, challenge your child/children with some puzzles and let your children be creative with the painting and coloring features.

For those of you who find that life is too busy & stressful, and you want something simple but very effective to help organise your day-to-day tasks – fear not my friends, as Taskcat is here to make life a lot easier for you!

Taskcat cuts out everything to do with ‘unnecessary’ with an attractive, straight forward & very fast control method. Some examples of this includes the apps ability of one swipe navigation, crossing out/deleting tasks by swiping to the right, uncrossing tasks by swiping to the left & sorting your tasks (crossed/uncrossed) by simply shaking your device.

I have to say that I was very impressed with the quality of the free included wallpaper images, there is a good selection for just about anyone to consider using on their home or lock screen (or both). It’s also worth mentioning that there are no annoying ads plastered on the app, which is very refreshing to see.

MathBubblePopper

Being a very proud & lucky father myself, I am very aware of how important it is that my children (& every child) learn and develop good Mathematical skills throughout their childhood. Understanding & learning at a young age should be made “fun” & this is exactly what MathBubblePopper does with it’s fun interactive abilities & neat layout.

The MathBubblePopper experience will help the child develop with their basic addition, subtraction and multiplication. The fun gameplay theme that this app brings really does work in grabbing the child’s attention. As the child progresses, the questions will become harder & the great thing for parents is that the app has a tracker where you can view how many questions were answered correct & how many were incorrect, not forgetting the timer that will help you understand how quickly the levels are being answered.

This app will come to the rescue for many worried children & concerned parents – certainly a great investment.

Time Guru Metronome

Time to get into “tempo” with Time Guru Metronome! This app delivers what previous metronome apps have failed to do, functioning much more accurately with perfect timing via a customized audio engine.

One great feature that this app has to offer is that is has the ability to mute its sound at random or sequenced patterns (or both) – this comes as a great training method for you (the keen musician) to be left on your own to develop your internal sense of time. Other features include: the ability to create rhythmic drum-machine like patterns, tap tempo & human or robot voice counting.

Time Guru Metronome is certainly a must-have for any musician (of any level) with an iOS device!

Project Budget

With the average person becoming more reliant on carefully managing their finances, Project Budget could well be your app in shining armour! Once you’re set up & using Project Budget, you’ll be able to determine what money you currently have & need to cover your upcoming expenses (rent, bills, etc..). This can also help if you have any weekly saving goals set, ensuring that your income will enable you to put those extra funds aside.

I was pleasantly impressed with how easy it was to get set up on this app & how well the app actually works for you, saving you all that un-necessessary stress & hassle with your day-to-day finances. This is certainly a very reliable financial resource that would make a sensible addition to almost anyone’s device.

Voice Answer

After months of rejection & frustration Voice Answer has finally made it into the App Store. This is basically another Siri alternative that gives older device owners the opportunity to use the best of their voice recognition abilities.

I’ve tested & used a few of these “Siri” type apps lately & I have to say that I think Voice Answer does have the slight edge over the other available alternatives. I personally found that the actual voice recognition was more accurate & the questions that I asked were answered in much more detail (like Siri, Voice Answer uses data from sources such as Wolfram Alpha).

So it seems like this app does indeed have a huge knowledge base, but I feel that the best is yet to come. There is certainly huge potential here & im looking forward to see future updates!

G.O.D [God of Defence]

It’s time to use your Godly hand of power to destroy the undead legion & protect mankind from the deadly gates of hell. That’s kind of everything that needs to be explained about God of Defence (or G.O.D) in a nutshell…

In general the game is okay, the controls are fairly easy to get adapted to & the general gameplay is quite easy to get the hang of. Some of you will probably get frustrated with the lack of excitement that this game has to offer, as things do tend to stagnate as the game progresses. Aside from this, whoever was in charge of uploading the app screenshots onto iTunes Connect was either very lazy or very drunk! They do appear quite terrible & will probably put a lot of potential app users off.

In conclusion, God of Defence is an average attempt at basic strategy style game. It is free, so there’s nothing stopping you from giving this one a try…
