With the stresses of day-to-day life it’s sometimes important to take a step back & unwind. i-Relax does exactly this and is there for you at your demand when those stress levels are rising too high.
i-Relax uses the power of nature to sooth your nerves, with video scenes from natural beauty spots such as a beaches, rivers, trees etc. The media itself works very well & is set to auto-loop meaning there is no need to keep manually playing the scenes when they have finished. In addition to the media there is also an interactive feature where you can create your own rain scene by touching the rain drops.
This app brings some great ideas with many relaxing features. An ideal addition for anyone who likes to chill out every now & then.
9.3 : My iStory
My iStory
The My iStory app allows you to store all your precious/important memories, with the ability to add relevant photos, video clips & writing for each entry. With the information & media that you add, you’ll be able to view it in the app’s diary, built-in calender, media gallery, slideshows – and you can even create your own ebooks.
The app generally works really well. I was impressed with the option that allowed me to select & import my existing media from my device’s camera roll, this was sorted into the month & day when the media was originally added to my device.
A great well-designed app that will have much appeal to anyone who likes to keep a record & reflect on the most important things in life.
9.3 : World Cup Table Tennis™
World Cup Table Tennis™ – The Addictive Classic Game in 3D
Until experiencing the World Cup Table Tennis app I had never really played any table tennis themed applications before, so I had no idea to what to expect. All in all I was pleasantly entertained by this game, my prior doubts to how the mechanics of this type of game would be were soon gone. Briefly describing the game, there are 4 game modes: Career, Tournament, Arcade and Head to Head – so plenty of options available! The actual game-play is fairly simple to adapt to, I was very comfortable with this process & soon got in to winning ways. A good all-rounder that most table tennis fans will certainly love.
9.3 : Vlingo - Voice App
Vlingo – Voice App
Vlingo has come to the rescue for all us folk with older iOS devices! It certainly doesn’t compare to the likes of Siri Assistant, but it sure is a nifty little app that many of us will enjoy using & find of good use. The speech recognition works really well & gives you the ability to text, email, search maps, update your Facebook status, search the web & voice dial – all at the command of your voice. The app has simple step-by-step instructions on how to do these various commands to help you get started. Again, a great idea & very handy app – not forgetting it’s also free!
9.2 : Grand Theft Auto 3

After the release of Chinatown Wars back in 2010, I was left wanting to see more of what Rockstar could do with additional GTA titles on the iOS platform. Since hearing that Grand Theft Auto 3 was coming to the mobile gaming platform I have also wondered how the game would come across as regards to appearance & general playability – also how close to console gaming quality could it be?… Well I have to say that Rockstar have met & surpassed all expectations, as this truly is something unique to experience on an iOS device.
As fans of the original GTA 3 will know, the game comes equipped with a great storyline & brilliant soundtrack. Not all iPhone & iPod Touch users will be able to experience this game as it states in the app description that it will only run on the following: iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 4, iPad 1 and iPad 2 – although I have actually had this running fine on the iPhone 3GS.
A truly amazing game, the only minor thing that could of been different would of been the ability to steer the vehicles by tilting your device rather than using the on-screen arrows (like in the Gangstar games)… Still, i’m very adaptable & this game is getting full marks from me.

It feels slightly strange posting a review for my own app! While i’m certainly not going to give a biased review, I will make sure that I go through the app’s beneficial features.
The purpose of App Charts is to give you an easy 1 tap access to the latest App Store charts and other features that i’ll mention below. The app lists will be automatically refreshed when the app has started & you can manually refresh these list by swiping down on the screen (similar to the function featured on the Facebook app).
Features include: top paid & free app lists, latest free & paid app releases, top charts for each individual category and a section displaying our latest app reviews. This app is & will always be free, i’m planning on releasing many more updated versions in the coming future. If you are having any issues or problems with the app or have any suggestions/requests for future versions, please either contact us by email or use the comments section on this post & i’ll respond asap.

Cooking in general can be fun & challenging. When it comes to roasting meat it makes all the difference if the meat is cooked to as near perfection as possible to ensure you get the best possible taste, while avoiding the obvious under-cooked risks of food poisoning and lack of taste or the over-cooked burnt or dry taste & appearance.
The “Is It Ready Yet?” app will eliminate this problem with its ability to give you the recommended cooking time & temperature based on the type (beef, pork or poultry) & weight of the roasting meat. In addition to this, the app also has a built-in cooking timer to help make things even easier!
A great cooking aid that’ll likely prove of good use to any iPhone or iPod Touch user when cooking a roast.
8.8 : T-80 Darts

MKO Games, the creators of the brilliant SplitApple brings us T-80 Darts. While there are some good darts apps out there, none of them offer the comfortable Irish Pub themed atmosphere like T-80 Darts does – this works really well as you take the role of Douglas, the stocky Irish Pub landlord!
One of the first things to impress me with this app was how stunning it is visually. The control method itself is very impressive, using both the touch & tilt features on your device. There are 5 game modes available: 301, 501, 701, Around The Clock & Cricket. There is also a HD version of this game for iPad users – click here for the direct App Store link.

Prior to its release, I had been following the build-up of this game for some time. Warm Gun is a FPS (first person shooter) that can be played as an online multi-player or an offline mode. You can play as one of the following characters: The Preacher, The 49er, The Shaman or The Blacksmith. Each death-match can be played on one of any of the available maps where it is your role to fight for survival in a free-for-all blood bath!
While a game like Warm Gun has always got its critics, I certainly feel that this game (at the time of its release) has set the new baseline for multi-player FPS games running on the iOS platform. Anyone who likes a good shooter will certainly like Warm Gun!
8.7 : Fly Smasher

Flies in general irritate me in most ways. While squashing them does leave a good feeling of satisfaction, there is always an unpleasant presence of fly guts left to deal with!… What better alternative could there be than an app that requires you to kill as many of those ghastly creatures as possible – thankyou Fly Smasher!
The aim of the game is to protect your food from the flies, they can be squashed with just a simple tap (you gain points for squashing each type “A” fly, but lose 20 points for squashing a type “B” fly) or by using one of your deadly sprays for multiple kills. You have three lives per game, each life can be lost every time a fly gets to your food. Great intense fun that’ll give those finger tips a good workout!

For those of you who are not familiar with Globs, it’s a popular online game that has come to all iOS devices & simply involves matching colors to merge Globs(!), gaining valuable points on the way. The app has 2 game options – classic & time mode, also you have the ability to share you scores on Facebook & even compete on Facebook leaderboards – not forgetting that this game is also Open Feint & Game Center compatible with many achievements to unlock. With a very crisp & simple appearance, this is one of the most addictive apps I have ever played & one that will be staying on my device’s home screen.
8.0 : Angry Birds Rio

Another great instalment is here for all Angry Birds fans! The Angry Birds have been captured & taken to Rio. There they eventually escape & now it’s their/your task to save their friends. At the time of release there are two episodes which include 60 fun-packed levels, not forgetting a selection of new achievements. In my opinion this is another great addition to the Angry Birds series, though the game starts off almost too easy which may puzzle some of us ‘seasoned’ Angry Birds gamers. All in all, definitely worth the purchase.
7.7 : Wake N Shake

Being a heavy sleeper, I have had more than enough instances over recent years where I have slept through morning alarm calls. Most occasions I find myself hitting the snooze button a dozen or so times. Wake N Shake brings a fresh & unique approach as an iPhone/iPod Touch alarm clock, the most notable feature being the challenge of quite literally shaking the hell out of your device (shake intensity can be altered for us weaker folks)! – once the shake-o-meter is full the alarm will stop. The app has a selection of very funny alarm sound effects to choose from, they are cleverly designed to increasingly become rather annoying, giving you much good reason to shake your device rather hard. Not only can you set general alarms, but also you have the ability to set alarms for when you want to take a nap. Overall, this is an app that everyone should have on their device.
7.6 : SplitApple

Having played a selection of archery themed apps over the past few years, I have always been left disappointed – so I was very hopeful that SplitApple would deliver… and it certainly did! The first thing to impress me was the the stunning appearance of the high definition graphics & how smooth the overall animation was. The app comes with 4 different game modes: Challenge, Time Trial, Survival & Practice. The controls for the game are very easy to use, the tilt & touch control method was very effective & worked very well. The app is also Game Center compatible & comes with 25 unlock-able achievements.
7.5 : Disaster Radar

Disaster Radar is a virtual world map that pin-points all the latest natural disasters and emergencies around the globe. Why the App Store has this application placed in the entertainment category is beyond my understanding, but in general this is an app that many will find interesting & of use – best of all it’s free. Whether its Earthquake updates, Biohazards, Avalanches & so on, you can get a swift update using this useful app. Those of you who like to travel around the globe will most likely find this of good use.
7.5 : Parkbud

There’s nothing more annoying than being issued with a parking ticket, it really is frustratingly painful to get back to your parking destination & discover that the parking meter has run out with a parking fine stuck visibly on your vehicle. These days may well now be avoided thanks to the Parkbud app! Firstly, with the meter alarm you can set the exact time that your parking meter runs out, this also has a reminder alarm that can be customised to your preferences. The car locator & park finder will help locate nearby places for you to park & will help assist you back vehicle to make things even easier for you! Other features include a camera & photo editor (for adding photos of your parking location etc.) and a handy notepad. The app on a whole is a clever idea that i’m sure many of us will find useful.

Elmo the hamster needs your help! it’s been left to us to help him escape from his dreaded cage, giving the poor little creature some deserved freedom. As Elmo is drifting in his heliball it’s your job to swipe him in the right direction – during this journey you will be faced with various obstacles where you will have the opportunity to earn points by popping the star-filled balloons, while avoiding the red balloons. With over 60 addictive & frustrating levels you can be guaranteed many hours of fun as you progress through each stage. great 2D physics & smooth game-play!

Prepare for some ice-cold insanity as you take the role of Hippie the Hippo! It is your task to charge your way through each arctic themed level, knocking those annoying cow ballerinas into the freezing cold water – Pulling the back of a hippo’s pants has never been so exciting! On top of this app having solid gameplay appeal I found the general appearance & graphics to work very smoothly – a great effort & nice looking game.

Time for some highly addictive tilting fun as you journey through the icy South Pole & help Air Penguin save his family from melting ice caps. There are two different game modes available, the story mode consists of 100 different stages to tilt your way through and not to forget the challenging survival mode (you can unlock many Game Center achievements as you progress). This is a great all-rounder, the combination of great looking smooth graphics and simple game-play are what will make this game appeal to so many of you.
5.0 : Halo Waypoint

Attention all Spartans – Finally we have an official Halo app and it runs on all iOS devices! For anyone even the slightest bit familiar with the Halo series, you would of most definitely heard about or used Halo Waypoint on your Xbox 360. The app itself is almost identical with its general appearance, but there’s more on offer with the ATLAS function (unfortunately an in-app purchase…) which enables you to see overhead views of multiplayer & firefight maps. The great thing about this feature is that it can be used while you’re playing the Halo: Reach/Anniversary multiplayer in real-time, giving you the ability to track team-mates, weapon & vehicle locations etc…
The almost perfect Halo companion which will leave some of us frustrated with the fact that we’ll have to dish out a few dollars for the ATLAS feature, but overall this app is very impressive and a must-have for any Halo fan.
